Rainforest Action Network (RAN)- Citigroup “cut quickly”
“Did you know that someone is using your credit card without your authorization?” When RAN needed to get the attention of Sandy Weill, Chairman of Ciitgroup, to encourage him to put an immediate end to Citigroups’ investments in worldwide destructive environmental practices, RAN called Underground. We used guerilla marketing, magnetic stickers on atm machines, fake credit cards and paid advertising to garner public attention and earned media. And, yes we definitely got Sandy’s attention.
